Rwanda’s Visa Policy

The citizens of all countries (except those that are visa exempt) can acquire a visa on arrival for the Republic of Rwanda. Furthermore, travellers can also obtain an E-Visa online before departure.

Rwanda Visa on Arrival

Some Insights – Passport holders from China, Namibia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, India, Gabon, Israel, Morocco, Mozambique, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates do not need a visa to enter the Republic of Rwanda.

Moreover, citizens of China that have a ‘public affairs’ endorsed passport don’t require a visa for a stay of up to 90 days.

Since January 1st of 2018, visitors from all nations are eligible for visas on arrival. Citizens of the Common Market – Southern and Eastern African countries (who are not exempt from visa requirements) are given 90-day visas. While other travellers are given visas of 30 days.

Since 10th March 2020, citizens of member nations of the Commonwealth of Nations, La Francophonie, or the African Union are exempt from paying the visa fees.
