This tour is designed to provide the most gratifying experience of Kidepo Valley National Park and all the attractions and wonders that are found there. This Safari program is suitable for family vacation tours, Solo and small group travel, wildlife photography and couple’s getaways.
For this 5 day Kidepo wildlife safari, you will leave Kampala and Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park for game drives, nature walks, cultural visits and bird watching among other activities. In Kidepo you will be able to see zebras, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, ostriches, and more.
Along the way, you will enjoy the great Ugandan scenery as it changes from the crowded Kampala traffic and urban life to the quiet and serene vistas of Northern Uganda. During the long drives to and From Kidepo, there will be plenty of stops to ensure that the journey equally enjoyable.

Drive from Kampala to Kitgum
Our Driver/guide will pick you up from your place of accommodation in Kampala/Entebbe after your breakfast. We Shall then leave Kampala and head north for Uganda's most isolated of wildlife safari park via Luwero and Nakasongola Districts.
We shall have a stop over in Gulu Town for lunch and then continue to Kitgum for the overnight stay. The journey covers close to 450 kilometres and will take us around 7 hours including some brief stopevers.

Drive from Kitgum to Kidepo Valley National Park
After breakfast, we shall drive the remaining 120 kilometres to Kidepo Valley National park.
On this drive, we shall go through the remote Acholi villages before entering the national park where we shall pass by several herds of wild animals grazing in the lush savannah plains of Northern Uganda.
We shall check in at the hotel/lodge just in time to relax and enjoy our first Kidepo lunch. After lunch, we shall go for a game drive in the vast plains of Kidepo Valley National Park. You will be able to see several animals such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, Uganda kobs, cheetahs, leopards and buffaloes among others.
Along the Nurus Valley, you might spot lions resting on top of some big rocks as they relax and look over their kingdom.

Morning Gamedrive, Afternoon Guided Nature walk
After your breakfast, we will go for a game drive to the kanangorok hot springs and pass via the Kidepo river valley which is beautifully lined with palm trees. Along the way, we will look out for leopards, Tortoises and ostriches, among the other plentiful number of birds and animals.
After having your packed lunch, we will stretch our legs on a guided nature walk through the park. On this guided nature walk, we will be accompanied by experienced rangers who will give all the information about animals, birds, their habits and how they can track their movements.
This guided nature walk is a great opportunity for you to see wild animals up close in their habitat- away from the shield of the vehicle.

Drive from Kidepo to Gulu Town
In the Morning, we shall leave Kidepo and go to Gulu Town. We will have a stopover in Kitgum for lunch, after which we shall continue to Gulu for our overnight stay.

Drive to Kampala, Departure
After your breakfast, we shall leave Gulu and drive to Kampala with a stopover for lunch at Kabalega Dinner - along the Gulu Highway.
After lunch, we shall proceed with the drive towards Kampala and your guide will drop you off at your accommodation, or place of residence. That will mark the end of this 5-day kidepo wildlife safari.

For most people, it is more pleasant and enjoyable to visit Uganda or Rwanda during the dry season months (June to September and December to February). The general climate is warm and sunny all year round, and you can visit at any time of the year.
