This tour is designed to provide the most gratifying experience of Kidepo Valley National Park and all the attractions and wonders that are found there. This Safari program is designed to be suitable for family vacation tours, Solo and small group travel, wildlife photography and couple’s getaways.
For this 5 day Kidepo Safari, you will leave Kampala and Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park for game drives, nature walks, cultural visits and bird watching among other activities. In Kidepo you will be able to spot Zebras, Giraffes, Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, Cheetahs, Leopards, Ostriches, and so much more. Kidepo is the only national park in Uganda where you can see both zebras and giraffes.
Along the way, you will enjoy the great Ugandan scenery as it changes from the crowded Kampala traffic and noise to the quiet and serene vistas of Northern Uganda. During the long drives to and From Kidepo, there will be plenty of stops to ensure that the journey doesn’t become a painful experience.

Drive from Kampala to Kitgum
Our Driver/guide will pick you up from your place of accommodation in Kampala/Entebbe after your breakfast. We Shall then leave Kampala and head north for Uganda's most isolated of wildlife safari parks via Luwero and Nakasongola Districts. We will stop over in Gulu Town for lunch and then continue to Kitgum for the overnight stay.
The entire drive takes around 7 hours to cover the 437 kilometres.

Drive from Kitgum to Kidepo Valley National Park
After your morning breakfast, we shall drive the remaining 120 kilometres to Kidepo Valley National park. On this drive, we shall go through the remote Acholi villages before entering the national park where we shall pass by several herds of wild animals grazing in the lush savannah plains of Northern Uganda.
We shall check in at the hotel/lodge just in time to relax and enjoy our first Kidepo lunch. After lunch, we shall go for a game drive in the vast plains of Kidepo Valley National Park. You will be able to see several kinds of animals and birds such as Giraffe, Zebra, Uganda Kobs, cheetah, leopard and buffaloes among others.
Along the Nurus Valley, you might spot lions resting on top of some big rocks as they relax and enjoy their day

Morning Gamedrive, Afternoon Guided Nature walk
After your breakfast, we will go for a game drive to the kanangorok hot springs and pass via the Kidepo river valley which is lined with palm trees. Along the way, we will look out for leopards, Tortoises and ostriches, among the other plentiful number of birds and animals.
After having your packed lunch, we will stretch our legs on a guided nature walk through the park. On this guided nature walk, we will be accompanied by experienced rangers who will give all the information about animals, birds, their habits and how they can track their movements. This guided nature walk is a great opportunity for you to see wild animals up close and personal in their habitat- away from the shield of the vehicle.

Drive from Kidepo to Gulu Town
In the Morning, we shall drive from Kidepo after having breakfast and go to Gulu Town. We shall then have a stopover in Kitgum for lunch, after which we shall continue to Gulu for our overnight stay.
Having been previously devastated by the activities of the Lord's Resistance Army under Joseph Kony, Gulu is a town on the rise and is currently as safe as any other place in Uganda.

Drive to Kampala, Departure
After your breakfast, we shall leave Gulu and drive to Kampala with a stopover for lunch at Kabalega Dinner - along the Gulu Highway.
After lunch, we shall proceed with the drive towards Kampala and we shall drop you off at your accommodation, or place of residence. That will mark the end of this 5-day kidepo wildlife tour.

This Wildlife safari is designed to be easy for most people every for groups with seniors and children. It can be customised farther by including Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary as a stopover along the way to, or from Kidepo. Depending on your preference, our team can tailor this package to suit you best.
We recommend that you carry the following items with you.
- Sunscreen – because Northen Uganda is very hot and you need to protect your skin against the rays of the sun.
- Comfortable shoes – for that guided nature walk in the park
- Light clothing – because the temperature in northern Uganda can get quite high during the day.
- Wide-brimmed Hat and sunglasses – to keep away the sun from your face.
- Your regular medication – as advised by your doctor.
