The good road makes for a smooth drive and gives a road trip feeling to the journey, as you pass through the various lush landscapes and small towns.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
You will start your morning very early with breakfast before heading into the park. You will first go to the park headquarters where you can be briefed and reminded of the rules and regulations to gorilla tracking. You will then be assigned an armed ranger guide and a gorilla family for which you will go and search for.
Along the trail, the trained ranger guide will tell you all about the mountain gorillas and the other wildlife that make up the entire ecosystem of Bwindi National park. The trek goes through the thick forest with steep slopes and massive undergrowth. This 'hard' nature of the trek makes the experience even more rewarding.
After finding the gorillas, you will spend a whole hour observing and photographing them as they go about their daily routine. After spending time with gorillas, you will head back to the Park headquarters where your trek started.

You could opt to leave Bwindi in the morning so that you can partake in some fun and relaxing activities in Kisoro - especially around lake Mutanda. Alternatively, you can take your time in Bwindi and explore the nearby communities and villages. Your choice.
You will rest for the night and prepare for your second gorilla tracking experience - this time in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Today you will wake up early and head to the park headquarters. Same as in Bwindi, you will be briefed and assigned a ranger guide to track the gorillas with you.
In Mgahinga, you will also stand a chance to see the cheerful and fashionable golden monkeys. In fact, that is the only place in Uganda where you can see these endangered golden monkeys.
At the end of the gorilla encounter, you will head back to your hotel for a relaxing evening - or even engage in other community-related activities.
The most popular community activity in Mgahinga is the Batwa Experience trail. The Batwa are a minority tribe that used to live in the forest as hunter-gatherers until 1994 when the forest was gazetted as a national park. The trail will bring you first-hand encounters to what their former way of life was like - and how they managed to co-exist with the forest ecosystem without harming it.

You will have lunch in Mbarara before continuing to Kampala. You might stop at the Equator for more pictures and souvenirs if you so wish. You will reach Kampala in the early evening and your driver will drop you off at your desired location. That will mark the end of your Safari.
